Natalia from Yahoo’s Collecting Bookmarks group pointed out a Flikr group dedicated to images that can be made into bookmarks. There are (currently) over 300 images in the group: some are striking landscapes; some are posed shots; some are very constructed, artistic shots; some are abstract beyond recognition; and some are drawings.
I’m displaying two sample images, here. The one on the left is by eelend (her flickr username) who writes in Spanish. I can’t quite tell what country she lives in just from reading her profile. I think the hands are beautifully dramatic, especially in the field of black.
The one on the right, labeled Dragonfly, is by Morganilla, a photographer in Spain. I love the rich background setting off the lines of the dragonfly. It almost looks like an ink drawing.
At some point, I’d love to print a few of these onto some good, heavy, photo-quality paper. But before I ever get to that, I’ll just enjoy flipping through these images.
