The poet Heather Swan Rosenthal has won the Wisconsin Center For The Book’s 2007 Poetry Bookmark Contest. Apparently, the non-profit organization Wisconson Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters has an annual contest where poets from the state submit their work, and the winner has his or her poem published on a bookmark. The poem and the poet’s photo are printed on 1000 bookmarks which are then distributed at the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C.
I’m curious about other contests like this. It seems like a great combination of ideas.
