Here’s another experiment. There are several folks out in the internets who regularly post images from their collection of bookmarks. As they update their listings, I thought I’d provide a weekly roundup of those links.
Kellypuffs
There are two bookmarks in Kellypuff’s flickr photostream. Unfortunately, they aren’t going to stay in her collection. She made them herself, but they’re meant to be used for a swap and sent away. They’re beautiful and I want folks to check them out.
BiblioBuffet
This isn’t specifically an entry from someone’s collection, but I want to link to the latest bookmark article from Lauren Roberts over at the amazingly wonderful website BiblioBuffet. Titled A Princely Exhibition, it discusses Prince Albert, Consort to Queen Victoria and a prime motivator for the Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry in 1851.
Interesting stuff. Go read it.
Sixbucksadonkey
This is the most recent Bookmark Friday posting over at Sixbucksadonky. The caption is “If only I could get paid to just read all day.”
Punt Per Punt
Nuria over a Punt Per Punt has been busy with 3 posts this week.
She has 27 different bookmarks shown in her Soldiers, Warriors, and Knights post. They come from a pretty wide variety of media, and they cover historical figures, armor from various eras, and fantasy characters.
In her Museums post, she has 9 different images that display 17 bookmarks from various museums around the world. Most have some sort of nautical theme.
This collection of bookmarks appear to be promoting a book of poems titled Le Collier Inacheve by Sylvia Peron-Berberian. There are 6 bookmarks in the set, and they fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. I really like these puzzle sets and wish I saw more here in the U.S.
Inside Books
Simon Quick has posted his latest Bookmark of the Week on his blog Inside Books. It’s an image of the Boy in Red by Paul Cezanne, and it comes from the Art Institute in Chicago.
