Holy cow! Now, even bookmarks have been recalled due to the Chinese lead paint problems.
On October 3, 2007, Antioch Publishing voluntarily recalled several series of their bookmarks as well as a journal product line due to excessive levels of lead in the paint. The product lines are: Beads of Wisdom® Bookmarks; Deluxe Cool Clip™ Bookmarks; Marquis™ Bookmarks; Mini Cool Clip™ Bookmarks; and Signature Journals. The instructions for returning any of these products are on their Product Recall web page.
