Here are my latest bookmark creating finds around the “interwebs”:

Flower Bookmark

Flower BookmarkOver at De’Play, there’s a very simple set of instructions for making this flowery bookmark. It’s made from hardboard and paper cutouts and is fine for kids to make.

Scrapbook Inspired

Although this post doesn’t have detailed instructions on making this bookmark, it’s an interesting discussion on how her scrapbooking inspired a couple of bookmarks for her kids. They’re a nice use of those leftover scraps, they’re simple enough, and they’re another great project for kids.

Crochet Bookmark Pattern

I think these are beautiful bookmarks. You can see the wide range of results from simple variations of the basic pattern. You’ll find that pattern (for personal use only) at the following link. I’ve never crocheted, but now I’m thinking about it.

I originally found the crochet pattern when I came across this picture. That is a beautiful bookmark, and although the post doesn’t tell you how the author made the piece (but gave the reference to the pattern), I felt it deserved its own mention.

Recipe Bookmarks

Common SenseOver at Scott’s Common Sense website, there’s a quick tip about using the recipes on the side of cake mixes as bookmarks. Just cut out the side panel with the recipe from the cardboard box and stick it in a cookbook. I think this method saves those recipes in a clever and useful way.
