I’ve been catching up on the amazing images that folks are posting from their collections. It’s a big post, and long overdue, but here is some of the latest bookmark eye-candy:
SIXBUCKSADONKEY
Halloween Reading
Over at Sixbucksadonkey there are a couple of new Bookmark Friday entries.
The first entry (with a sample image on the left) is for a couple of Halloween themed bookmarks.
Disembodied Bookmark
On the right is a thumbnail image of the second post which has a bit of a horror theme. There’s no text, so I’m not certain about the intended message.
Marcapaginas

Paul Gauguin
This is my first link to Natalia’s site (Marcapaginas), but it looks like I’ll be visiting there with some regularity as she posts more of her entries. In this entry (thumbnail shown at left), she discusses Gauguin and has 3 bookmarks illustrating her article.
Eiffel Tower
In another entry (right), she discusses the Eiffel Tower with 11 different bookmarks shown.

Tennis
Alia is posting some images of her collection onto the Marcapaginas site, including this link (left) with a variety of Tennis themed bookmarks. Most are images from a tennis themed Manga, “The Prince of Tennis”.
Sheep
Another Alia posting (right) shows off her fondness for sheep. In addition to 10 sheep themed bookmarks, she has some images of other sheep in her life.

Obidos
Rosa also is posting onto the Marcapaginas site. She has a couple of posts with images from Portugal. The link on the left has images of 6 bookmarks from the Portuguese town of Obidos.
Coimbra
On the right is a link to her Coimbra bookmark. I’m looking forward to seeing more entries on the Marcapaginas site from all of these collectors .
Punt per Punt
Poem Rain on Dubrovnik and Guernica
Nuria has a couple of new entries over at Punt per Punt, starting with this amazing collection of poems that are part of an art project focused on cities that have survived being bombed. Rather than try and paraphrase the intent, I direct you over to her posting where she discusses the project.
She also has this post (left) with a collection of 13 china themed bookmarks. Five are diecut images of an elegantly costumed Chinese woman.
These nine bookmarks (right) feature African masks. The images are iconic representations of the masks from several different African countries (and cultures) and are quite interesting.
Punto de Papel
On the left is a link to Maria Rosa’s collection of 25 bookmarks from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. It’s quite a range of images: paintings, graphics, and sculpture.
There are nine photos showing the Maria Rosa’s amazing collection of music in the post linked on the right. It’s an impressive collection of something like 200 bookmarks.
Inside Books: Bookmark of the Week
On the left is a link to Simon Quicke’s post featuring a leather bookmark and lovely write-up about the feelings that it evokes.
Bath Library
A nice little bookmark on the right with images from several archaeological sites.
On the left is an example of what Simon calls “one of the many bookmarks that get handed out at US libraries”
On the right is a link to a bookmark which is pretty much as described: an image of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
Bookmark Swap
Crafting Daisies conducted a swap of bookmarks hand-made from fabric. Follow the link to see the a great slide show of the finished results. Really stunning work.

I’ve been making my own bookmarks for a while because I’m very picky about them. I always forget my position on the page, and so I wanted something like a slide rule to mark not only the page, but the sentence. It works really well.
