“book-thong” is a new term for me, also (and I still have to suppress my 9-year old boy giggle before using it). I first came across it for a bookmark swap, and it made sense to me as well. So it’s now in my lexicon.

Your parenthetical reference to “book-thong style” made me Google (not without reservations…ahem) “book thong.” I did not know that a double-ended bookmark was a “book thong.”

It makes sense, of course.

Best of all, it gives me some needlework ideas.
