Bookmarks In the News
Articles:
I am surprised by the timeliness of this article by Frank X. Roberts in BiblioBuffet. His premise is the question “What is a bookmark?”, and he discusses some of the uncertainties in what would seem to be a fairly simple question. This is relevant to a post I’ll be making this weekend – Link
Contests :
This isn’t really a contest: more of a promotion the likes of which we are seeing more and more. The Stanfield Public Library (in Oregon) is sponsoring a Reading Is Fun program. Participants pick up a special bookmark on which they record the books they are reading, and after collecting 10 titles they can turn in the bookmark for a free Happy Meal at the local McDonald’s – Link
