The number of links this week seemed to be making up for all the light weeks over the holidays. So here’s the large set of bookmark related links that I’ve found, from January 17 through January 23.
Enjoy!
Bookmarks In the News
Articles:
Laine Farley has a great article at BiblioBuffet this week about the bookmarks produced for Star Braid during the second half of the 19th century. What I find most appealing is the research she did about the bookmarks themselves, including the designers that produced such beautiful images. She accumulated a complete set of the produced series to help with her research. A great collectors’ article- Link
CW at Bibliophemera displays a bookmark with a beautiful drawing of a wolf in his post that starts with an attempt at finding a Latin phrase for “bookmark”, then gives a nod to Lauren and BiblioBuffet, moves on to discuss the writer Rick Bass, and finishes with a discussion of the bookmark and the organization it came from(wow!) – Link
