I buy bookmarks on eBay. It’s a great source of unique, hard to find, handmade, and/or vintage bookmarks. There are other sources, but few have the number, variety, and convenience of this one resource.
However, eBay’s popularity also means that at any given time, there’s a huge selection of auctions to choose from. A simple search on the term bookmark generated over 5 000 hits!
So here’s a site that I recently found which helps me sort through this huge resource. The site is called the Collector’s Weekly, and they have a bookmark page where they summarize the “top” eBay auctions, both active and closed. I realize that “top” is a fairly subjective term, but this site does bring a lot of very interesting bookmark auctions to my attention. For me, it’s a great starting point, and when I’m pressed for time its often the only site I’ll use to check out auctions.
Another useful feature is that you can view the “top” recently closed auctions. This addresses the other problem I have as a collector: trying to determine typical prices for bookmarks. We don’t really have price guides for this hobby. So the “completed” list provides a convenient bit of source materiel when I’m trying to decide on a bid price. My own interest and experience play the biggest role in my decision, but it’s nice to have some guidance.
There are other resources and links at the site, and they support a lot of other collecting hobbies. It’s worth spending some time and browsing the site.
Maybe I’ll see you all a bit more often in the bidder’s lists!

Hi, I enjoy buying bookmarks from ebay as well. It seems as if there are items there that aren’t anywhere else. I recently found an ebay store that has some cute unique bookmarks in it. I bought a few for myself and as gifts for others. You should take a look if you haven’t seen it already. I’d like to see your thoughts.
Here is their site- http://www.DesignsByChance.com/
