Wow! Lauren at BiblioBuffet has written an amazing article about an event that has always fascinated me as a bookmark collector – the 1939 New York World’s Fair. There are a lot of vintage bookmarks available from this event, and Lauren has illustrated the article with quite a few images of the bookmarks in her collection – Link

An interesting promotional event between the public library and local car dealers in Dubuque (Iowa). A car buyer can present the dealer with a special bookmark they obtained from the library, and the car dealer will donate $100 to the library – Link

Russian Bookmark is an interesting site passed on to me by Laine Farley. They are promoting a series of hand-made bookmarks as Russian Souvenirs and plan on using master craftsmen to produce the collection. Nothing is currently for sale, and the site is still building its content, but it’s still worth a visit even in this early stage – Link
